I have just started creating one of my favorite Detroit delicacies...Detroit style Coney Island hot dogs. Detroit is known for these. It's not just ANY hot dog and not just ANY bun and not just ANY chili. Pile on top the amazing beanless chili, mustard and onions and you have something that is worth thinking about often when you are thousands of miles from Detroit. At least that's how I see them! Expatriate Detroiters crave them.

I am in the process of creating a painting for each of the most well known coney restaurants in Detroit and in Michigan. My first offering is from National Coney Island. The original painting is a 16”x20” acrylic painting on canvas. After getting approval from National Coney Island to go ahead with my project and use their logo on the plate I hurried to the closest NCI and ordered several. The hot dog used for the painting was indeed scarfed down with a Vernor's ginger ale!

This print is an open edition release instead of my usual very limited edition prints. (These are not hand signed and numbered). They are 11"x14" and suitable for framing. (Frame not included). The image size is 8"x10".
